Robertsbridge Neighbourhood Plan

As the Neighbourhood Plan has now been made (adopted), the Steering Group has been disbanded. The Parish Council has formed a NP Monitoring Group (NPMG) with the following three specific purposes:

• To review the application of the NP policies by the Planning Authorities in their determination of planning applications, so that the objectives of the NP are delivered in a co-ordinated and cohesive manner that accords with the NP
• To ensure that the community actions contained within the NP (under Projects, paragraph 3.9, pages 53/54) are delivered, by the PC working with a variety of partners in a co-ordinated, cohesive and timely manner
• To consider any possibilities for review of the NP which will be formally reviewed, at a minimum, within five years of being made.

The NPMG is a working group of, and accountable and reports to, the Parish Council (PC). It has no delegated powers; recommendations for action / progress on all matters will be made to the PC for consideration.

The NPMG will feed any comments and /or concerns they have regarding the application of NP policies by Planning Authorities, to the PC Planning Committee for action.

If/when recommendations are made for a review of the NP the PC will form a new working group to carry out the review; this could be necessary if one of the major sites does not progress to development, but in any case within five years of adoption of the Plan .

The membership was approved at the Parish Council meeting on 17th September 2018 as shown in the table below.
